Today we Remember

As we look back to remember today, lest we forget the soldiers who have fought for our freedom and independence. Believing in yourself is a powerful thing, however, fighting for your country is the most noble thing we as individuals can do to express our gratefulness for living in Canada or the USA.

All of the fallen will be in our thoughts and prayers as a token of our appreciation. Freedom allows us to live the dream some will never truly comprehend. Lets us choose to chase goals and dreams in the ventures which arise from our economic freedom. Spend precious time with our families; building memories and legacies, without question.

Our family and friends can be by our side - thank you to our veterans, fallen and active soldiers.

At 11:00 am, we will take a moment to recognize all you have given.

By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD Canadian Army

May 3, 1915

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
